I will demonstrate two different sponge cakes – a classic chocolate cake and a lemon and raspberry sponge cake, using two different techniques. And to ice and decorate, a chocolate ganache buttercream and vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream.

Techniques and skills will include:

  • Making a classic sponge cake using different techniques
  • Classic Buttercream
  • Swiss Meringue Buttercream
  • Layering and masking a cake with buttercream
  • Simple Piping techniques
You will make your own 6″ chocolate layer cake and chocolate ganache buttercream which you will use to fill and decorate your cake.
