Easter Baking

This hands-on baking class will introduce you to some of our much-loved Easter baking.

Together we will master the most delicious hot cross buns from scratch.

Beginning with making your own sweet yeasted dough and while that is rising you can relax while I show you how to make a Simnel cake. This is a lovely fruit cake traditionally made at Easter or formerly Mother’s Day, with a layer of marzipan in the center and on top and then finished with marzipan balls which represent the apostles.

It wouldn’t be Easter without chocolate and my chocolate orange polenta cake is gluten-free and will satisfy any chocolate lovers.

Beginning with making your own sweet yeasted dough you will make the hot cross buns from scratch and will have these to take home.

Be prepared – homemade hot cross buns are a revelation!
