
Preserve the Season – Autumn
I have been preserving homegrown and local produce for over 20 years now and in this hands-on preserving class, I will be sharing my passion and knowledge with you.
I will be making jams, jelly, chutney and pickles from scratch using traditional methods that best capture the flavours and vibrancy of the fruit.
You will learn the skills and techniques to inspire you to make the most of seasonal produce and you will have a selection of wonderful recipes not to mention a few jars of delicious jam and pickles to take with you.

After a welcoming cup of tea or coffee, sit back and relax while I demonstrate the recipes and discuss the techniques and secrets of preserving.
Then it’s your turn to have a go at making your own jam and help make some cucumber pickle and you will have these to take home.
We will have a break for lovely fresh bread and tasting of all the jams.
This class is suitable for all levels of experience, we are always on hand to help and guide you.
Recipes are subject to change depending on availability. We will be using a selection of local fresh and frozen fruit in this class.
